Welcome Executive Director Alice Posner

We are pleased to announce that Alice Posner of Tamworth will be THC's first Executive Director. Alice brings to the job a broad range of skills, from nonprofit and education experience, to social media know-how, to story-telling - as well as a lifelong connection with Tamworth and a love of the town's history. At THC she will be focusing on programming, outreach, fund-raising, and building community connections.

Thanks go to the Tamworth Foundation for funding this part-time position for the first year, and possibly two additional years as THC builds self-sufficiency. Hiring our first-ever paid staffer seems like a fine way to mark the 70th year since our founding, in 1952, as the Tamworth Historical Society. We will be announcing additional celebratory events for this season - please stay tuned!
