“This Fiber Arts Group was started by lifelong fiber artist Barbara Lord around 2012.  She was an expert in many crafts.  Her passion was to promote and preserve all traditional fiber arts.  She started the group to get people with similar interests and skills together.   She built a community of crafters and artists that continues today.  By sharing our knowledge and projects with each other  we all learn and grow.  We meet monthly in Tamworth. A second group grew out of the Fiber Arts community and the Madison Warped Weavers was formed.  We share knowledge, projects and learn new skills in weaving.  We meet monthly in Madison.

All people interested in fiber arts and traditional arts are welcome to join us.  All ages, all levels from new to skilled are welcome.  There is always something new to learn.  We feel strongly that the traditional arts and working with our hands is important. “
